Since Mandao started pedaling on the streets of Havana <\/span>in September 2019<\/span>, it made its mark as a simple, fast and secure Cuban delivery business. <\/span>Two years <\/span>later <\/span>as <\/span>we continue to pedal with our electric motorcycles, we have evolved to the popular delivery service that fills streets and avenues and have expanded to more than just delivering food. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ve transformed the stereotypical image of \u00abhacer mandaos\u00bb\u009d (running errands) from the old man with his bags leaving the \u00abbodega\u00bb\u009d to the image of our iconic bright yellow backpacks as a recurring sight traveling through the four provinces where Mandao operates: La Habana, Matanzas, Cienfuegos<\/a>, and Holguin. These bags facilitate the transportation and quality of the products. Their interior, with thermal compartments, ensures the delivery in optimal conditions of any item, and guarantees the condition of our \u00abmandaos\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A brand on the road to sustainability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of bags, how not to mention the bio bags of El Mercadito<\/a>, that offers the most varied options to stock the kitchens of Havana. These black bags, made entirely of recycled plastic, are also part of Mandao’s image and culture. Also, since they are reusable, they are already known in all kinds of \u00abmandaos\u00bb\u009d in Havana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this is not the only way Mandao cares about the environment: the \u00abcatauros\u00bb\u009d used to deliver the farm’s produce are made with dried yaguas; we continue to use bikes to make our deliveries, and we recycle the packaging that our customers return to us, we participate in large recycling campaigns, and many other actions that helps us each day get closer to be a sustainable brand. Because sustainability is already part of our lifestyle, of our existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than a delivery service<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mandao’s mission goes beyond the simple \u00abI’m going to order something for me.\u00bb Through our food delivery service, we unite friends, families, and communities across borders; we are delivering remittances in the form of services, which makes it easier to take care of others even when they are far away\u00bb\u009d, as we define ourselves on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main goal of this community, as mixed and rich as a Cuban \u00abajiaco\u00bb, consists of \u00abconnecting people through the things they need\u00bb\u009d. Therefore, we grow our business to achieve that mission. That is why we started delivering food from restaurants and have grown to the delivery of products  from Agros<\/a>, Combos and Baskets, Fresh Farm Baskets and a variety of items from El Mercadito<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mission that expands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Something that characterizes Mandao and perhaps goes unnoticed in the eyes of our users, has been its ability to generate jobs, contribute to the well-being of the families of the team members and support other businesses amid the unfortunate pandemic; and beyond Havana, we have already rolled out in Matanzas, Varadero, Santa Marta, C\u00e1rdenas<\/a>, Holgu\u00ed\u00adn and Cienfuegos.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandao thinks big and covers new ground to improve the experience of our customers and be more useful to them every day. This is how Mandao Express<\/a> was born!
