The possibility of ordering various ethnic cuisines with Mandao is one of the strengths of our application in Havana. A few weeks ago, we talked about how Japanese food has gained a space in different Cuban entrepreneurs. Today we want to talk about other international gastronomy options that are different from the traditional Creole and the popular Italian pasta. These are dishes (and restaurants) from the Middle East or Asia that you can find in the Mandao app.

From the Middle East to Havana

From Saffron Persian Food, we want to highlight the elaboration of shawarma, one of the most popular street foods. Although it is a dish traditionally made with lamb, today it can be made with any meat. In this restaurant, it is prepared with saffron chicken, and cooked on the grill with its main salad.

Another recommendation for traditional Middle Eastern dishes can be found at Espada restaurant, which specializes in Lebanese food. From here, we want to highlight the kabab, one of the best-known preparations of that region. At Espada it is prepared in a very similar way to the traditional one: skewers of ground lamb, with parsley, onion and Middle Eastern spices, cooked on the grill and served with rice and salad. However, if you prefer to explore other options, Espada is full of surprises.

Chinese options: meal themes at Mandao

Chinese culinary options have been gaining ground in Cuba in recent years. Although dishes such as fried rice and Chinese wontons have always been present in our gastronomy, more specific preparations, and combinations of ingredients not so common in the Caribbean, have gained traction from different restaurants.

In the Mandao app we can find some traditional dishes from this country. From the Tiantan restaurant, we want to recommend one of the most popular among our customers: sweet and sour ribs. This rich pork is prepared without bones and with a sweet and sour sauce that usually leaves those who eat it wanting more. That is one of the reasons for its popularity: the need to have it again.

Very soon we will also have available the restaurant La Linterna Roja. In this establishment, specializing in Chinese food, we recommend the chow mein, made with pasta sauteed with meats (chicken, pork and shrimp), soy sauce, spices and vegetables.

These are some recommendations for dishes that you can find in the Mandao app. But we invite you to review the different categories of food in our application or check out each of the choices from the restaurants mentioned. At Mandao, we try to cover all the needs of our users. That is why we look for the widest possible variety of foods so that the exploration of new flavors is also always an option.
